I have spoken to many people who has had the same surgery over the years, listening to scare tactics regarding the level of pain that I should experience. Do to my surprise I can truthfully say over 5 weeks out the level of pain has been minimal. Either that says a lot about Dr. Steffes who performed the surgery and Mercy Hospital for employing such a great staff to all those involved from start to finish of the procedure. Everyone that I encountered was so pleasant and kind towards me from start to finish and any follow up visit. If there was any bit of fear before the surgery and first follow up, all dissipated. I highly recommend my experience, Rating Mercy Hospital a five star.

Had a great experience with Dr Steffes and his staff. They were always friendly, took their time to answer questions. I pretty much always knew what to expect. I highly recommend Dr Steffes and his team!

Dr. Steffes did an incredible job with my surgery. Despite special circumstances, he never made me feel nervous about my procedure or the ways it had to be modified to keep me safe. I'm very pleased with my surgical care team's dedication to my care.
